Jade Rona is a Los Angeles–based screenwriter and video game writer originally from Manhattan, whose voice has been shaped by a decade of movement between the East and West Coasts. The daughter of a Haitian/Puerto Rican mother and a Jewish father, she draws on a multicultural perspective that informs her character-driven, genre-forward storytelling. Her work often explores themes of identity, belonging, and moral ambiguity through heightened worlds grounded in emotional truth.
A lover of noir, horror, and speculative fiction, Jade crafts richly textured narratives populated by offbeat yet deeply human characters, brought to life through sharp dialogue and a distinct sardonic wit. She previously wrote for Animore Games Corp.’s fantasy title and created a neo-noir pilot selected for Stowe Story Labs’ TV Writers Room Program, while also placing in the Top 50 of Launchpad’s Pilot Competition and advancing in ISA’s Fast Track Fellowship.
Her horror feature has earned recognition as a semifinalist in both the ScreenCraft Horror Competition and Filmmatic’s Horror Screenplay Awards. Currently, she is developing a feature treatment with Fairvale Entertainment and is represented by Jennie Frisbie at Magnet Management.
