Writer Biography - Jade Rona

Jade Rona is a video game and screenwriter originally from Manhattan, shaped by a decade of constant moves on both coasts. Born to a Haitian/Puerto Rican mother and a Jewish father, she found stability in storytelling. A genre enthusiast, she creates richly textured worlds by combining charming yet unconventional characters with snappy dialogue and a certain sardonic wit. She has written for Animore Games Corp.’s fantasy game, created a neo-noir pilot that has earned a spot at Stowe Story Labs’ TV Writers Room Program as well as placed in the Top 50 of Launchpad’s Pilot Competition, and is pushing to the next stage with her horror feature that placed as a semi-finalist in Screencraft’s Horror Competition, Filmmatic's Horror Screenplay Awards as well as a Blacklist fellowship.
