The Longleaf Studio Student Film Festival at Jacksonville State University is a festival focused on the work of college and high school filmmakers in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.

Filmmakers MUST confirm that they are a current high school or an undergraduate college student in the previously mentioned states to be considered for selection to the festival.

High school films will be screened ahead of college film with a short break in between. Awards will be presented after all films have screened.

Awards & Prizes

Awards will be given in the following categories:

Best of Show - High School
Silver Medal - High School

Best of Show - College
Silver Medal - College

Outstanding work in the following categories MAY be acknowledged:
Directing
Production Design
Cinematography
Performance(s)
Editing

Rules & Terms

The entrant must be a current high school or college student in Alabama, Georgia, Florida or Tennessee.
The entrant must be the producer or director of the film.
All film entries must have been created while you were in high school or college.
All entries must be 12 minutes or less including credits.
All genres allowed.
You must have the legal right or approval to enter this work.
Films must be uploaded to FilmFreeway, YouTube or Vimeo, files must be downloadable.

If accepted to screen at the festival. final high-resolution output must be delivered by March 15th, 2026.
