Maryland’s Premier Horror Film Fest is back!

Island of Horror Film Fest: 4 Life (or Death) promises to give back to the creators by giving away all the proceeds as cash prizes. We don't want your money. We want your souls... no... films, yes, films!

The Island of Horror Returns on Nov. 1st, inside the Todd Performing Arts Center of Chesapeake College. We will show the best of the fest and announce the award winners and give away prizes.

In years past our programs have featured World Premiers, Award Winning Thrillers, Student Projects, Local Films, and First Time Directors. The Island of Horror started as a way to celebrate the films we crave, and has turned into an international night of terror our audiences won’t soon forget.

Our judges crave all types of horror - Animation, Comedy, Spooky, Gory, Campy, Thrilling, Psychological, Sci-Fi, Slasher or experimental.

  • This is a fun and growing horror fest run by a passionate, charismatic team who cares about the filmmakers. Good selection of films from all over. Many of the awards come with a monetary prize, which we really appreciated. We had a great experience at Island of Horror.
