Rules & Terms

IIFF Rules and Regulations
By submitting a film to the Isabela International Film Festival (IIFF), the filmmaker acknowledges and agrees to comply with the following rules and regulations. Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in automatic disqualification without notice.

Subtitles
All submitted films must include subtitles. Films submitted without subtitles will not be considered.

Submission Fees
All submission fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Short Film Duration
Short films must have a maximum runtime of 17 minutes. Any film exceeding this limit will be disqualified.

Previous Screenings
Films that have previously screened at other film festivals remain eligible for submission.

Public Availability
Films that are publicly available online or through other public platforms will not be accepted.

Distribution Status
Films with existing distribution agreements may be screened; however, they are not eligible for competitive awards.

Category Assignment
IIFF reserves the right to assign any selected film to the category it deems most appropriate.

Right to Disqualify
IIFF reserves the right to disqualify or withdraw any film at any time prior to its scheduled screening.

Selection Process
Submission does not guarantee selection. While all films will be reviewed, not all submissions will be screened.

Screening Schedule
IIFF reserves the right to determine the date, time, and venue of all screenings during the festival.

Intellectual Property Rights
By submitting a film, the filmmaker confirms that they hold all legal rights to the work and that it does not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights. The filmmaker agrees to indemnify and hold IIFF harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the submission.

Non-Discrimination Policy
IIFF does not discriminate on the basis of nationality, language, age, race, ideology, economic status, or any other condition.
Media Coverage

IIFF is a public event and may be covered by media outlets. Participants may be photographed, filmed, or recorded, and their likeness may appear in media publications or broadcasts. IIFF assumes no responsibility for third-party media use.

Promotional Use
IIFF reserves the right to use brief excerpts from selected films for promotional and marketing purposes, including festival advertising.

By submitting a film, the filmmaker confirms acceptance of these rules and agrees to comply with all IIFF regulations. Failure to do so will result in disqualification without further notice.

Normas y Reglamentos del IIFF
Al enviar una película al Festival Internacional de Cine de Isabela (IIFF), el cineasta reconoce y acepta cumplir con las siguientes normas y reglamentos. El incumplimiento de cualquiera de estos requisitos resultará en la descalificación automática sin previo aviso.

Subtítulos
Todas las películas enviadas deben incluir subtítulos. No se considerarán películas sin subtítulos.

Tarifas de Inscripción
Las tarifas de inscripción no son reembolsables bajo ninguna circunstancia.

Duración del Cortometraje
Los cortometrajes deben tener una duración máxima de 17 minutos. Las películas que excedan este límite serán descalificadas.

Proyecciones Anteriores
Las películas que hayan sido exhibidas previamente en otros festivales de cine son elegibles para su inscripción.

Disponibilidad Pública
No se aceptarán películas que estén disponibles públicamente en línea o en otras plataformas abiertas al público.

Estado de Distribución
Las películas con acuerdos de distribución pueden ser exhibidas, pero no serán elegibles para premios competitivos.

Asignación de Categoría
El IIFF se reserva el derecho de asignar las películas seleccionadas a la categoría que considere más adecuada.

Derecho de Descalificación
El IIFF se reserva el derecho de descalificar o retirar una película en cualquier momento antes de su proyección programada.

Proceso de Selección
La inscripción no garantiza la selección. Todas las películas serán evaluadas, pero no todas serán exhibidas.

Calendario de Proyecciones
El IIFF se reserva el derecho de determinar la fecha, hora y lugar de las proyecciones durante el festival.

Derechos de Propiedad Intelectual
Al presentar una película, el cineasta garantiza que posee todos los derechos legales sobre la obra y que esta no infringe derechos de autor, marcas registradas ni otros derechos de propiedad intelectual. El cineasta acepta indemnizar y eximir de responsabilidad al IIFF ante cualquier reclamación, daño o pérdida derivada de la presentación.

Política de No Discriminación
El IIFF no discrimina por motivos de nacionalidad, idioma, edad, raza, ideología, condición económica ni ningún otro factor.

Cobertura Mediática
El IIFF es un evento público sujeto a cobertura mediática. Los participantes pueden ser fotografiados, filmados o grabados, y su imagen puede aparecer en publicaciones o transmisiones. El IIFF no se responsabiliza por el uso que terceros hagan de dicho material.

Uso Promocional
El IIFF se reserva el derecho de utilizar breves fragmentos de las películas seleccionadas con fines promocionales y publicitarios del festival.
Al enviar su película, el cineasta confirma que acepta estas normas y se compromete a cumplir con todos los reglamentos del IIFF. El incumplimiento resultará en descalificación sin previo aviso.
