Ipê Amarelo Film Festival

Ipê Amarelo Film Festival is a Bi-monthly online festival that seeks to encounter and promote filmmakers from around the world, showcasing their differences and qualities, and opening space for their diverse voices, relevance and expressions.

Those selected in our festival have the opportunity to present their films at our online screenings and participate in our online Q&A sessions.

Best Unproduced Film Scripts (Can be given to more than one project per competition)

I - All films not spoken in English MUST have English subtitles.

II - All entry fees are non-refundable. The person responsible for the entry MUST enter their project in the correct category, otherwise their submission will be invalidated.

III - Multiple entries from the same submitter will be accepted, with a separate submission and separate entry fee accompanying each entry. However, in repeated entries from the same project, only the last entry will be considered.

IV - The decisions of the festival selection committee and jury will be final and unquestionable.

V - The committee reserves the right NOT TO SELECT projects with possibly offensive or discriminatory content.

VI - The submitted films MUST be the original work of the entrant and MUST NOT violate copyrights or any other third party rights. Entrants agree that they have obtained all necessary copyright permissions related to the music, sounds, images, etc. featured in their films. Therefore, filmmakers MUST have all rights associated with their films, thus allowing "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival" to use clips for publicity purposes, including uploading clips, trailer, poster and images online.

VII - By submitting your project to "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival", you allow our Festival to use printed materials of the film (such as photos, posters, trailers and clips) for promotional purposes on our website and social media. Therefore, all films selected for the Festival grant "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival" the right to use the printed materials of the films for promotional purposes.

VIII - The burden of obtaining copyrights and all ownership interests in the submitted material rests solely with the applicant.

IX - The organizers of the "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival" reserve the right to change, cancel or reschedule dates, awards and award categories without prior consent or information to participants, besides having full autonomy to select the jury, being fixed or not.

X. The organizers reserve the right not to award any or all prizes.

XI. Competition Format:
Projects entered in the monthly competitions can be selected and awarded. The nominated films that win the monthly competition will become "finalists" and thus eligible to compete for the best of year's award winners.

The final competition will be between the winners of the monthly competitions.

Entries that are not disqualified or not selected by the selection committee and jury (i.e., films that have a judging status of Undecided) will have a chance to stay in the running and compete in other monthly competitions.

XII. We, as organizers of the festival, understand that:

Short films are films over 1 minute in length and under 50 minutes in length.
Feature Film are films over 50 minute in length.
Unproduced Film Scripts have more than 10 pages.

XIII. We will only accept entries in the correct categories:

A) Short Film.

B) Documentary Short Film.

C) Feature Film.

D) Feature-length Documentary Film.

E) Unproduced Film Scripts

XIV. The films submitted will be evaluated and may compete in the following categories:

A) Best Film.

B) Best Direction.

C) Best Cinematography.

D) Best Art Direction.

E) Best Sound Design.

F) Best Screenplay.

G) Best Editing.

H) Best Actress.

I) Best Leading Actor.

XV. "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival" will not publish the completed film online without the permission of the project holder. If the filmmaker decides not to screen films online, we will screen the particular short film for the Festival Jury only. All private films will be equally qualified for all awards.

XVI. We do not require premiere status.

XVII. The film must be submitted in the correct category, otherwise it will be disqualified once judged.

XVIII. Filmmakers who choose to submit their film as a Student must prove their status with "Student ID". In case of failure to do so, the film will be disqualified, with no right to a refund.

COPYRIGHT
By submitting your film to our festival, you agree that your project (complete film, trailer) may be uploaded and/or incorporated in our website. The filmmaker and/or production company that is submitting the film must own the rights to do so and is responsible for the content they are providing. By submitting, the filmmaker allows "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival" to create a page for the film on their website and social media without violating any copyrights. Filmmakers may make an email request to remove the film link from the Festival's website at any time.

LEGAL NOTICE
The applicant agrees to have read and accepted the rules and regulations for participation in the "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival".

The applicant confirms that it has the necessary authority or has obtained the necessary authority from the producer and/or rights holder to enter this film in "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival" and make the print available for exhibition. Under no circumstances will the "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival" authorities receive or respond to anyone other than the applicant.

NOTIFICATIONS

Once a film is selected for the competition, the filmmaker is notified by e-mail only. Selected films will be published on the festival's website and on "Ipê Amarelo Film Festival" social networks. All films selected and/or nominated for the competition will be informed by e-mail only and listed on the festival website. No questions or arguments will be received regarding films not selected. The selection committee's decision will be final and unquestionable
