I screened my short film at the festival in 2023 and had a wonderful time. It was free to submit, they paid me a screening fee, and when I walked in the door the organizers literally approached me and knew my name before I even opened my mouth. I felt so welcome! It's a small, young festival in a little town, but the audience size was still pretty good. I got to do a Q&A along with the other short filmmakers in attendance, and the audience was super warm and friendly - lots even hung around to chat after the screening.
