International Migration and Environmental Film Festival (IMEFF) is a not-for-profit cultural organizations, that raises awareness about migration and environmental issues through the wonderful medium of film.

IMEFF is dedicated to presenting the best of international film, documentary, photo and artwork that captures migration, trafficking, refugees, pollution, habitat loss, climate change, to educate, entertain, inform and encourage conversations, provokes debate about changes, innovation, sustainability and how to make the world a better place for every creature.

The aim of the festival is to raise awareness, encourage discussion and inspire people on the act of a diverse range of important migration and environmental issues and to reshape a divisive narrative using film and the arts.

During the festival, we have the opportunities for officially selected projects and filmmakers/ Artists to participate in screenings and discussions with the audience from Non-governmental organizations, embassies, ministries, high school and college-level students. And we will be organising a community screening throughout the year.

Narratives and documentaries, feature and shorts personal or global stories, highly educative, entertaining and informative are welcome for consideration.

The IMEFF Finalists get to premiere on the red carpet in the beautiful and historical city of Toronto, for our annual International Film Festival. With that, all of our finalists get their place in the official IMEFF Catalog, where they remain forever. And of course, all of our filmmakers in the competition category are automatically in the running for our AWARDS AND PRIZES!

Film in a language other than English, it must have subtitles (or be dubbed into English) in order to be considered.

SELECTION:

All submissions will be screened by an IMEFF selection committee. Submission does not guarantee selection.

Publicity materials for Selected Films will be appreciated. The festival will exercise all due care with materials sent. However, we cannot accept or assume responsibility for damage or loss of materials submitted.

If your film is selected, IMEFF reserves the right to use its title and press materials in promotion of the festival in various media.

FORMATS:
The festival will screen digital video only. Selected Films may be submitted for projection in BluRay, DVD, on a flash drive or via a hi-res link.
