Inner Frame Film Festival is an evening of short films created by psychoanalysts and others who are deeply connected to psychoanalytic thought, treatment and practice. It is a community event created to have discussions and dialogue around unconscious dynamics, the psycho-emotional experiences that take place in and outside the therapeutic process and the powerful ideas about psychic life that help shape our understanding of those experiences.
Created and funded by Pep-Web.org (the online archive of everything psychoanalytic), the Inner Frame Film Festival has created a place where illustrators, animators, filmmakers, videographers and other artists collaborate with clinicians to capture something of the rich experience of the therapeutic encounter.
The inaugural evening of these shorts and discussion will be Nov. 5th, 2026 at the Walter Reade Theater, 165 W 65th St, New York, NY 10023
