The Indian film festival of Cincinnati is the only Indian Film Festival of its kind in Cincinnati and Ohio. We screen premieres of feature, and short films made in and about the Indian subcontinent, or it's people or made by Indians. The festival is designed to engage diversity through film. We want your film to speak to an American audience through topics and issues that that embrace our common humanity across our cultures. This year, our festival will include films made in and by Asians. The festival is organized and hosted by the India Cincinnati Sister city in collaboration with the Art Museum.of Cincinnati.
In its second year, the festival promises to attract a large local audience. There is no submission fee. A late fee for late submissions will be charged.
You may submit films already premiered this year as long as they have not been showed in Ohio.
No cash prizes. Awards for Best film , Best Director, for both short and feature films . Awardees will be informed and trophies will be awarded. We hope to award cash prizes in a few years as we grow.
We do not have funds for travel. However, we will provide you accommodation and board with any of our many volunteer hosts and provide other festival hospitality as our VIP guest. If you are located in the US, we will try to raise travel funds for you.
At the Indian Film Festival of Cincinnati, we screen premieres of features, and short films made in and about the Indian subcontinent or it's people or made by Indians/Asians. Entries can be in any Indian language subtitled in bold in English. Entries can be in the English Language.
The festival is designed to engage diversity through film. We want your film to speak to an American audience through topics and issues that that embrace our common humanity across our cultures. Our audiences, love comedies, films with substance, films with a message that is relevant to both cultures. Films that cover issues of diversity. We do not favor documentaries at this time.
You may submit films already premiered this year as long as they have not been showed in Ohio, USA. We are the only Indian Film festival in Ohio and the second largest in Ohio.
ENTRY SUBMISSION RULES.
Together with your submission to FilmFreeway, All films must be submitted via a password protected streaming link to the email provided. Our preference is Vimeo links; however, we can accept links to other streaming sites including your own site, an unlisted private YouTube, etc. as long as the link is not public. If you are unable to make a streaming link of your film, please email us at Indianfilmfestivalofcincinnati@gmail.com. or send link to Indianfilmfestivalofcincinnati@gmail.com the same day that you submit your work for consideration.

All film submissions must be uploaded or postmarked before DEADLINES ie. before Jan 31 to qualify for zero fees, After Jan 31 you are expected to pay $50 or the entry will be disqualified and required to submit with the proper submission fees. Waivers are granted via invitation ONLY. You will receive notification from us by April 1.
SCREENING & SHIPPING
If your Feature film is selected for screening at our festival, you must submit films on Blu-rays for festival presentation to the address provided. Films must reach at least 2 weeks before screening takes place. Cost of submission is borne by you.
Short films will be submitted digitally via We transfer or google. Films must be the original copy in high resolution.
Subtitles for both short and feature films must be bold and visible, large enough to view and in the appropriate color.
If selected, we require Feature Films to be sent to our address. Please package well. The Indian Film Festival of Cincinnati will not assume liability for any damage to entries due to poor shipping and handling. You will be notified if the Blue Ray arrives damaged or fails to play. Shipping costs to and fro will be borne by you.
ONCE SELECTED ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MUST ACCOMPANY YOUR ENTRY:

-Short Films a 50 word Synopsis (may be used for Festival Program and website)
-Feature Length Films: 100 Word Synopsis (may be used for Festival Program and website)
- Director's Bio 60 words
-Director's photo in Hi resol Jpeg 1 mb or more
-Accepted entries must submit at least one digital 300dpi still photo from the film and at least one web-ready still at 72dpi and 560×315 pixels.
