I never received an email with the acceptance letter, so I just learned that I was selected. The Festival was over long ago.

    Response from festival:

    Hi Isabel

We did reach out to you before London as we did with all nominated Filmmakers and Scriptwriters. Multiple times in fact. If you check the inbox that you have registered on Film Freeway (the only contact we have for you), you will see our e-mails. We have the address davalos.isabel@gmail.com, which is what we see when we click your submission.

I can confirm that we were able to screen your film via a download we obtained from your submission but I can also confirm that none of the e-mails we sent were replied to by yourself.

We would appreciate if you could please remove this review as we feel it is inaccurate and we would also urge you to update your contact details on this site to avoid further communication problems.

There are film festivals which genuinely care about filmmakers and their work. Which take the time to make them feel welcomed and appreciated.

And then there are film festivals which wish to profit on already struggling filmmakers. The London International Filmmaker Festival Of World Cinema is one of those festivals.

I would never recommend this festival to anyone.

    It was absolutely outrageous.

    I find it shameful.

Film festivals like these should not exist. Absolute rip off. Poorly organized without a real care for the filmmakers.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated as fiends and as fellow-creatives. The festival is exceptionally well-managed. It has a clear focus on allowing industry people to interact in a very professional context. Well done!
