Submissions are now open for the Indian Film Festival of Alberta (IFFA) 2026 which will run from September 4 - October 18, 2026 across multiple cities in Alberta.

India Film Festival of Alberta is one of the most awaited cinematic events of the year and showcases award-winning and independent films from India or by Indian Diaspora. IFFA is administered by the Edmonton Movie Club (EMC), which was formed in 2012 with the objective of “bridging cultures through cinema.” The festival format allows EMC to bring films from a wider range of languages (ranging from eight to twelve each year), cultures and subjects matters. IFFA also brings film directors, actors, and screenwriters to interact with the audience in the form of post-screening Q & A sessions, panel discussions, and master classes. In addition, EMC regularly collaborates with local cultural organizations and artists to present song and dance performances and food festivals. All these ingredients culminate in a grand celebration of Indian culture. IFFA has been held annually every year since 2015 and IFFA 2025 will be the twelfth year of the festival.
