International Children's Film Festival Bangladesh

Selection Procedure
All films will be selected by a selection committee formed by the festival authority. The selection committee will follow following criteria to select a film:
1. The artistic quality of the film.
2. Whether the film is suitable for children under the age of 18.
3. Whether the film is suitable under the common social and religious values of Bangladesh.

The decision of the selection committee is final for selecting a film and the selection committee is not bound to explain the reason for not selecting a film in the festival.

Note that, the selection process does not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, age, ethnicity, political beliefs, etc.

Number of screening
A film will be screened maximum for 3 times in the festival. After the festival, a package of selected films will participate in traveling festivals to be held in all major cities and towns of the country.

Decisions
The judges' decisions in all matters are final and no correspondence will be entered into. If there is no reply from the email address or phone number provided by the applicant, then the film will not be shortlisted for the final screening.

Rules & Eligibility (Technical)

Film entry: There is two-phase of submission.
- First is the entry of your film through our website. Visit: festival.cfsbangladesh.org
- Sending cost: DVD copy of the film/films should be sent to the festival authority at sender's cost.
- Online file transfer issues: “Video file submission” also accepted through WE TRANSFER / DROPBOX etc if the file size is not more than 2GB. But the entry must be done online before that.
- Video format: All films will be shown in DVD / Blu Ray / Digital Hard drive format with English subtitles if the original language of the film is not Bengali or English. We do not accept 16mm or 35mm prints.
- Teaser and trailer: We encourage you to make short teaser, trailer, making of the film as well as any other additional video of your film. In that case, do not forget to send those videos as well as any other photos along with your film. By sending the trailer, the filmmaker gives us permission to upload it on our YouTube channel with the festival logo slide in the starting.
- Additional elements: You are welcome to send additional souvenir along with the DVD like the poster, DVD cover etc. There is a possibility to showcase those things during the festival.
