The IAWRT Asian Women's Film Festival (AWFF) is a non-competitive annual film festival organized by the India Chapter of the International Association of Women in Radio & Television (IAWRT) to showcase films made by women of Asia origin.
Launched in 2005, the AWFF has over the years consciously made an effort to showcase narratives put together by Asian women filmmakers. It has grown in strength and reputation, with participation from around the world.
Over the last 20 years, the festival has travelled to many Indian cities, and the curated package of films from the festival has been screened at other festivals across the world.
The 20th edition was held in Delhi from March 6-8, 2025, at the India International Centre, featuring 65 films from 21 countries, along with panel discussions, masterclasses, and exhibitions.
We are now inviting submissions from women filmmakers of Asian origin for the 21st edition of the Film Festival, to be held in March 2026.
Organizer: IAWRT (International Association of Women in Radio & Television) India Chapter.
Purpose: To celebrate Asian women filmmakers and provide a platform for the female gaze.
