The Hurghada International Youth Film Festival is an annual festival which is established by screenwriter Mohamed El Basousy, journalist Kadry El Hagar, journalist Ahmed El Nagar, journalist Sherif Saleh and organized by the Arts for Culture and Media Foundation in Hurghada, Red Sea Governorate, under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, and is supported by Egyptian and international public and private institutions. Among its goals is to promote and spread cinematic awareness and culture, promote Egyptian cinema and support films made by young people and also films that deal with youth issues in Egypt and the whole world. Also, introducing cinematic works from different countries around the world.
Hurghada International Youth Film Festival awards are distributed as follows:
Feature Competition Awards:
*The Golden Award for Best Feature Film, awarded to the producer.
*Silver Award for Best Feature Film, awarded to the director.
*Bronze Award for Best Feature Film, awarded to the director.
*Best screenplay award.
*Best Director Award.
*Best Actor Award.
*Best Actress Award.
*It is not allowed to withhold any award or to or to give the award to more than one winner.
Short Film Competition Awards:
*The Golden Award for Best Short Film, awarded to the director.
*Silver Award for Best Short Film, awarded to the director.
*Bronze Award for Best Short Film, awarded to the director.
