Overall Rating
  • Hundreds of people in opening and closing ceremony but No General audience in the theatre to watch the films. Not even the festival team. Every one was busy with the invited stars which was an event in hotel 30 minutes away from where the screenings were happening. Zero attention to the films and filmmakers. When try to confront the festival, I was ghosted. No reply on mail, text or in person. No feedback or conversation regarding films. Zero networking. An absolute waste.

Eventhoug we were selected and were supposed to be in the International shorts Competition, the festival doesnt list the selected films anywhere (social media ENG or Arabic), neither present them in a catalogue or a webpage, so we do not really know, if our film was actually selected or screened, because even the program blocks are named shorts without any further information. Their fcb and TW is full with photos of men in suits (wondering where the YOUTH in the name stands for). Impact zero. Wasted 3 USD for submission.
