The Hudson Valley-based Film Festival features a curated, diverse selection of films screened at the historic Warwick Drive-In Movie Theater, located only 55 miles from NYC. In addition to multiple Jury-selected Award winners (cash, custom trophies, & unique goody bags), the audience will have the opportunity to vote for Best Film of 2024. Every evening of the Fest includes pre-party gatherings with live music, photo opps, vendors, and art installations.

"The Hudson Valley Film Fest is a fantastic festival. They both value the artists in their community, in the community of NYC, as well as exceptional work from around the world. Seeing your film at a drive in is also a unique and fun experience. They bring everyone together for an outdoor event prior to the screenings where you can meet other filmmakers. You can tell that there's a lot of heart and passion put into this festival, and it is well-curated. Their awards are also beautiful handmade sculptures. As someone from the Hudson Valley as well, I have to say that this festival also captures something of the culture of the region."

  • HVFF was an unforgettable experience!
I’m thrilled I had the chance to attend. Seeing Barbershop of the Damned on the big screen at a drive-in was surreal—it felt like the perfect setting for my Grindhouse-style short film. The atmosphere really amplified the film’s vibe. Plus, the swag bags were a fantastic bonus, filled with some really cool gifts. I can’t wait for the opportunity to participate again. HVFF truly delivered, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!

I was so incredibly thrilled that my film was able to be screened at the Hudson Valley Film Festival. Everyone was so welcoming. The food was delicious. My friends and family came, and had such a fun time watching upcoming artists showcase their art. The festival provides a wonderful opportunity to meet and get a small taste of what the future filmmakers have to share with the world.

Watching indie movies at this festival, being screened at a drive in, truly made it feel like we were transported back in time. If you are thinking about possibly submitting to this festival, I highly recommend you do so.

I will have nothing but fond memories of this festival, and I can not wait for future events.

What a blast. The founders Hannah and Martin are good people and do more than most festivals out there (even the ones claiming to be big, important, prestigious) to make the filmmakers feel welcomed and honored. It's clear they really care about the art and all the work they put in is evident. Easily a festival worth the fee!
