The Hollywood South Urban Film Festival has GREAT NEWS. We are pleased to announced that due to the high volume of quality film submissions last year, the HSUFF has been extended to a THREE DAY EVENT. Screenings will take place on FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY.
Welcome to the 3rd Annual Hollywood South Urban Film Festival 2020!!! It will be held in ATLANTA, GEORGIA at the Regal Cinemas Hollywood 24 @ North I-85. HSUFF is a Film Festival that BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER to acknowledge and appreciate the history of the African American culture. This year we will screen SHORT FILMS, FEATURE FILMS, FEATURE DOCS, SHORT DOCS, GLOBAL FILMS, THE BEST SERIES, ANIMATIONS, MUSIC VIDEOS, and STUDENT FILMS that will be SUBMITTED from all over the WORLD. There will be something for everyone for all ages to enjoy. The HSUFF will provide up and coming FILMMAKERS, ACTORS, SINGERS, and MUSIC PRODUCERS a platform to tell their stories by providing them OPPORTUNITIES to show their art on the BIG SCREEN. Although we focus on PROVIDING EXPOSURE of African American content, this FILM FESTIVAL will also be a PLATFORM that will GIVE ALL GENRES OF FILM an OPPORTUNITY for THEIR WORK to BE SEEN. Many times art that is related to the AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE gets overlooked because of the lack of STAR POWER or strong finances to back it. So our FESTIVAL COMMITTEE will personally screen every project that is submitted. We will select the very BEST PROJECTS to be SHOWN at the film festival. This EXPERIENCE will be a GREAT opportunity to MEET and NETWORK with people that are a part of the FILM and TELEVISION INDUSTRY. Thank you Aba for such encouraging words. It was truly an honor for us that you allowed your film “The Womb” to screen at the HSUFF this year. You and Kit and the rest of the cast and crew did such an amazing job on such a great film. It was our pleasure to give you a platform to showcase your art. Thank you so much for the kind words. We wish you and your film nothing but the best of luck in the future.
Response from festival:
Thank You April for your kind words as they mean a lot to us. It was definitely great meeting you and Ivan. Your film, "Victus" was one of the wonderful films we screened that made the lineup of films great. Yes, we do intend to grow and made this a festival that filmmakers will not want to miss.
Response from festival:
Thanks Brent, you, your team and your film "Don't Shoot" definitely contributed to the festival. HSUFF's goal of providing filmmakers the opportunity to have their films seen on the BIG SCREEN, networking with others in the film industry and also being able to talk to distibutors is very important to us. We look forward to seeing you and your projects in the future as we continue to grow and excel while giving filmmakers a wonderful experience.
