With over 20 years of experience in creative direction, production, and scriptwriting, I have led story-driven campaigns and narrative-focused branded content for major clients including NHK, Lexus (Toyota), Sony, Wacoal, and BABYMETAL.

As a scriptwriter, my credits include acclaimed titles such as 428: Shibuya Scramble, Fire Emblem Fates, Fire Emblem Engage, the Ace Attorney series, and Okamiden.

At Studio ONI, I oversee international productions as CEO, producer, director, and scriptwriter. Our flagship project, Operation ONI, reimagines Japanese traditional ink painting as contemporary animation, merging handcrafted aesthetics with cinematic storytelling for global audiences. All of our core animation work is fully hand-drawn, with no generative AI used in the creative process, preserving the physicality and discipline of traditional artistry.

In 2026, I served as Creative Director for a hand-drawn Japanese traditional ink painting animation produced as a satellite exhibition work for the NHK Taiga Drama Toyotomi Brothers. Created in collaboration with Canon Marketing Japan, Tanseisha, and Nagahama City, the work has been on permanent public display since February 1, 2026, at a dedicated cultural facility honoring the Sengoku warlord Azai Nagamasa.

I am also a core worldbuilding member of Wonderia Yokohama, a large-scale immersive edutainment facility developed by DeNA and the City of Yokohama. In this project, I oversee the overall narrative design and supervise all textual storytelling across the facility, shaping its conceptual universe and visitor experience.

In 2025, I produced a Japanese traditional ink painting art exhibition at Kyoto Takashimaya S.C., one of Japan’s most historic department stores founded in 1831, introducing Studio ONI’s international art team in a dialogue between tradition and innovation.
