The call is open to filmmakers, audiovisual artists, students as well as the general national and foreign public that has a poetic audiovisual proposal.
Basis of participation
1.- The call for entries is open to all audiences, both nationally and internationally.
Each participant can send a maximum of 4 films.
2.- Films may belong to any of the following categories:
Film essay, documentary, fiction, video dance, video performance, animation, found footage, ethnographic (poetic), Hybrids, Animation, Super 8, Home movies, Glitch, Remix, reappropriation, performance and / or experimental cinema.
3.- The theme is totally free.
4.- The films may be made with any type of camera or digital technology.
Our approach is directed to creative pursuit and poetry in audiovisual media.
5.- The works must have a minimum duration of 1 minute, maximum 90 minutes.
6.- We only accept digital formats, at the moment we will not receive installations or formats that imply special resources for their exhibition.
7.- Contestants are responsible for the rights of the works sent to the
Festival.
8.- Registration will be made exclusively through the FilmFreeway platform.
9.- The authors of the selected works must send a download link
(Dropbox, We transfer, Vimeo, Smash, Drive or similar in light format (H264- MP4).
10.- The selected foreign films must have subtitles in the Spanish language for their final screening.
11.- Translation
* The artist can do the translation independently
* If you need support with this process, we can do the translation service from $ 79 dollars depending on the duration of your film (this option is not mandatory to take with us)
12.- The selected films must be exhibited within the logistics of our organization, therefore we will not be able to make private exhibitions or that require the implementation of special resources.
13.- In your registration, use an email that you constantly check since if your email is incorrect or you do not check it, we will not be able to establish communication with you. In case you are selected and do not send your digital files, your project will be disqualified.
14.- We ask that when registering your work, do not change the password or download your project from the FilmFreeway platform, since this does not allow us to evaluate it and is a reason for disqualification.
15.- Once your film is registered there are no refunds.
16.- Exhibitions. The selected works will be screened in various spaces and movie theaters in Mexico.
Q&A
The selected filmmakers will be invited to participate in various live talks to talk about their work, this activity is not mandatory, however we need each of the filmmakers to confirm a week in advance to assign a translator who will take the talk from English to Spanish.
17.- The official selection will be announced through the official festival networks.
18.- The jury's decision will be final.
19.- The selected works will be screened during the Festival.
20.- The projection times will be announced in the official program of the Festival, as well
like the social networks of the same.
21.- The Festival may use fragments of the selected films
for dissemination of the event in the media, including the Internet.
22.- The organization of the Festival will not cover in any case the coverage of tickets,
Travel expenses or accommodation for the authors of the selected shorts.
23.- The Festival is non-competitive, therefore it will not pay screenings to the
selected artists.
24.- Music videos or advertising videos will not be accepted.
25.- The Festival will disqualify works that apologize for racism or misogyny or
any type of violence that denigrates human rights.
26.- Sending a film to Helios Sun Poetry Film Festival implies acceptance of these
rules.

La convocatoria está abierta para cineastas, artistas audiovisuales, estudiantes así como público en general nacional y extranjero que cuente con alguna propuesta audiovisual poética.
Bases de participación
1.- La convocatoria está abierta a todos los públicos, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional .Cada participante puede enviar un máximo de 4 películas.
2.- Las películas podrán pertenecer a alguna de las siguientes categorías:
Cine ensayo, documental, ficción, video danza, video performance, animación, found footage, etnográfico (poético), Híbridos, Animación, Super 8, Home movies, Glitch, Remix, reapropiación, performance y/o cine experimental.
3.- El tema es totalmente libre.
4.- Las películas podrán estar hechas con cualquier tipo de cámara o tecnología digital.
Nuestro enfoque está dirigido a la búsqueda creativa y a la poesía en los medios audiovisuales.
5.- Las obras deberán tener una duración mínima de 1 minuto, máximo 90 minutos.
6.- Sólo aceptamos formatos digitales, por el momento no recibiremos instalaciones o formatos que impliquen recursos especiales para su exhibición.
7.- Los concursantes son responsables de los derechos de las obras enviadas al
Festival.
8.- La inscripción se realizará exclusivamente a través de la plataforma FilmFreeway.
9.- Los autores de los trabajos seleccionados deberán enviar un link de descarga
(Dropbox, We transfer, Vimeo, Smash, Drive o similar en formato ligero (H264- MP4).
10.- Las películas extranjeras seleccionadas deberán contar con subtítulos en el idioma Español para su exhibición final.
11.- Traducción
*El artista puede hacer la traducción por su cuenta de manera independiente
*Si necesitas apoyo con este proceso, nosotros podemos hacer el servicio de traducción a partir de $79 dólares dependiendo de la duración de tu película (esta opción no es obligatoria tomarla con nosotros)
12.- Las películas seleccionadas deberán ser exhibidas dentro de la logística de nuestra organización, por lo cual no podremos hacer exhibiciones privadas o que exijan implementar recursos especiales.
13.- En tu inscripción utiliza un correo electrónico que revises constantemente ya que si tu mail es incorrecto o no lo revisas no podremos establecer comunicación contigo. En caso de que seas seleccionado y no envíes tus archivos digitales, tu proyecto será descalificado.
14.- Te pedimos que al inscribir tu obra no cambies la contraseña o bajes tu proyecto de la plataforma de FilmFreeway, ya que esto no nos permite evaluarlo y es motivo de descalificación.
15.- Una vez inscrita tu película no hay devoluciones.
16.- Exhibiciones. Las obras seleccionadas se proyectarán en diversos espacios y salas de cine de México.
Q&A
Los cineastas seleccionados serán invitados a participar en diversas charlas en vivo para hablar de su trabajo, esta actividad no es obligatoria sin embargo necesitamos que cada uno de los realizadores confirme con una semana de anticipación para asignar un traductor que llevará la charla del Inglés al Español.
17.- La selección oficial se dará a conocer por medio de las redes oficiales del festival.
18.- La decisión del jurado será inapelable.
19.- Las obras seleccionadas se proyectarán durante los días del Festival.
20.- Los horarios de proyección serán anunciados en el programa oficial del Festival, así
como las redes sociales del mismo.
21.- El Festival podrá utilizar fragmentos de las películas seleccionadas
para difusión del evento en medios de comunicación, incluyendo Internet.
22.- La organización del Festival no cubrirá en ningún caso la cobertura de pasajes,
viáticos o alojamiento para los autores de los cortos seleccionados.
23.- El Festival es de carácter no competitivo por lo cual no pagará proyecciones a los
artistas seleccionados.
24.- No serán aceptados vídeos musicales o videos publicitarios.
25.- El Festival descalificará los trabajos que hagan apología al racismo a la misoginia o
cualquier tipo de violencia que denigre los derechos humanos.
26.- Enviar una película a Helios Sun Poetry Film Festival implica la aceptación de estas
normas.
