Welcome to Hags Fest!

A new event of networking, screenings, and parties in East London, England, dedicated to championing female and LGBTQ+ filmmakers in the horror, fantasy and sci-fi genres.

Hags Fest is here to allow female, LGBTQ+ filmmakers and audiences to connect, create, and collaborate.

In our first year, we'll be celebrating and showcasing shorts, animations, documentaries, music videos and experimental works as well as showing feature films.

We also wish to have live performances of theatre and cabaret by female and LGBTQ+ artists.

The festival aims to be as environmentally sustainable as possible, thus we are taking three key environmental pledges to make sure that during the event, we will produce no plastic waste, no paper waste and no food waste.

There will be a Halloween Party to allow celebrating and networking on the spookiest of nights!

Hags Fest will be giving out awards at an event during the festival - see the Awards and Prizes section below. We want to do this in order to celebrate new talent and their ambitions.
