The prizes awarded at our event are symbolic in nature and do not include any cash awards.
Works that have been submitted to the Festival’s previous editions will not be accepted.
Participants can submit their works without limit of number, in one or more categories of the competition sections.
Italian, European and World premieres will be preferred and appreciated, please let us know if this is the case.
Art.4 – SUBMISSION
You can submit your movie using FilmFreeway
4.1 - Submission
By submitting a film and implicitly accepting the Festival's general conditions, you grant HPFF permission to store the submitted work in its digital archive. If selected for this or future editions of the HPFF, we will request permission to screen the work for educational, social and cultural purposes, with the prior consent of the rights holders and after obtaining all necessary approvals.
Submission and full acceptance of the festival's Rules & Terms authorizes the HPFF to publish content related to the selected films on the event's website, social networks and printed materials, and to use portions thereof (e.g., short trailers) for press and promotional purposes.
By filling in the registration form you agree with all the present rules.
4.2 – Contents
For each film, we ask that you provide:
• a brief description/synopsis in English (or Italian, if available);
• 3 movie stills (required, otherwise we will select frames via screenshot); each photo must have a resolution of 1080 pixels (on the short side) and should be clearly labeled, preferably in sequential order;
• if available, promotional material (such as movie poster, press book, director/producer photo);
• English subtitles in .srt format are required for films with complex dialog. If possible, we also request Italian subtitles. The projection file should be subtitle free. Please provide the subtitles in a separate .srt file.
Art.5 – SELECTION
Film selections will be communicated by email or private message by the deadlines published on FilmFreeway. If the required material has not been submitted, it will be requested in the notification message. Failure to respond, even after follow-up, may result in the movie’s rejection. Non-selection can be verified directly on FilmFreeway. The screening format of selected films will be agreed upon with the author(s), and the digital copy must be sent to HPFF immediately upon agreement.
Art.6 – FINAL ARRANGEMENTS
The Artistic board of the Festival can take incontrovertible decisions about matters which are not considered in the present rules.
