Rules & Terms

HorrorNews.net Film Festival

ELIGIBILITY:

HNN Film Festival is open to feature films - any genre of horror, but we would also consider content in science fiction and fantasy with horror elements. Submitted works must have been completed between 2024 - 2025.

SUBMISSIONS:

HNN Film Festival only accepts submission via FilmFreeway.

SUBMISSION FEES:

There is a submission fee to enter your film. All submissions are final, and there are no refunds.

MULTIPLE ENTRIES:

You may enter as many films as you wish. Each entry requires a separate submission form, fee and upload.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Submitted films are viewed by two or more members of the selection team. All programming selections are at the discretion of the HNNFF Director, whose decision is final.

HNNFF will not provide comments on films before submission, nor reasons for rejection of a submitted film, however, we are happy to provide informal feedback on individual films after the festival has taken place.

NOTIFICATION:

HNN Film Festival will not confirm the receipt of submissions and preview copies. All applicants will be notified via e-mail about the selection or rejection of their film.

PUBLICITY:

HNN Film Festival may use a reproduction of stills from selected films for all HNN Film Festival promotional materials for publications and press releases.

Horrornews.net is hereby granted to the right to utilize any excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Film Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Horrornews.net from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening projects entered.

HorrorNews.net Film Festival is an online only film festival, not a physical event.

Event Date will be the date a press releases goes out to the media for announce the winner of best feature film of the HorrorNews.net Film Festival.
