Hart District Film Festival 2027
For Students, by students.

The Hart District Film Festival is a completely student-run, completely free event that celebrates the creativity and talent of young filmmakers. Now in its fourth year, the festival has quickly grown into a showcase of the best student films in the Hart district and beyond.

This year, we encourage submissions from students across Los Angeles County. Whether you’re an experienced filmmaker or just starting out, this is your chance to share your vision with a live audience.

The festival will take place at 27801 North Dickason Dr. Valencia, CA 91355 running from 7 to 9.

If you have any questions on how to submit, email the event organizer.

The Hart District Film Festival celebrates excellence in student filmmaking with a variety of awards. All films submitted are automatically considered for the following categories:

Best Music Video
Best Writing
Best Performance
Best Comedy
Best Drama
Best Cinematography
Best Picture

Award winners receive recognition on stage at the festival, with trophies and certificates to honor their achievement.
