Il GRIFO FESTIVAL ha come obbiettivo principale il promuovere LA CULTURA DEL RISPETTO, ispirandosi alla campagna di sensibilizzazione UN Women, dal titolo “Orange the World”, nata nel 2008 con il fine di prevenire ogni forma di violenza contro le donne, e di ogni violenza in genere.

Il festival, che ha luogo a Chiaravalle (AN), è quindi aperto a cortometraggi che trattino i temi:

- discriminazione e violenza contro le donne (fisica, psicologica, lavorativa...)
- cultura della legalità
- violenza di genere, bullismo, violenza domestica, violenza assistita, omofobia
- diseguaglianza sociale ed economica

Il festival si terrà dal 5 all'8 marzo 2026.

The GRIFO FESTIVAL has as its main objective the promotion of a CULTURE OF RESPECT, inspired by the UN Women awareness campaign “Orange the World,” launched in 2008 with the aim of preventing all forms of violence against women and violence in general.

The festival, which takes place in Chiaravalle (AN), is therefore open to short films addressing the following themes:

- discrimination and violence against women (physical, psychological, workplace, etc.)
- a culture of legality
- gender-based violence, bullying, domestic violence, witnessed violence, homophobia
- social and economic inequality.

The festival will be held from March 5 to 8, 2026.

Awards & Prizes

La giuria ufficiale assegnerà il premio "Grifo di Platino" a:
- miglior cortometraggio
- miglior attrice
- miglior attore
- miglior regista
- miglior sceneggiatura
- miglior fotografia
- miglior colonna sonora

Una giuria popolare composta da ragazzi delle scuole primarie di Chiaravalle assegnerà il premio "Grifo dei Ragazzi".

La giuria popolare assegnerà il premio "Grifo d'Argento" al miglior cortometraggio.

Dalla II edizione, gli autori avranno la possibilità di caricare la propria opera sulla piattaforma Heddy Video. Il cortometraggio che otterrà più visualizzazioni verrà insignito del premio "Grifo - Heddy Video".

A popular jury composed of primary school students from Chiaravalle will award the "Grifo dei Ragazzi" prize.

The trophy "Grifo d'Argento" will be awarded to the best short movie by the popular jury.

Starting from the second edition, authors will have the opportunity to upload their work to the Heddy Video streaming platform. The short film that receives the highest number of views will be awarded the "Grifo – Heddy Video" prize.

Rules & Terms

1- Le opere partecipanti non possono essere visibili in chiaro su web o su altre piattaforme e devono essere state realizzate a partire dal 2022.

2- La durata massima, titoli inclusi, è di 15 minuti.

3- Le opere devono trattare temi quali violenza di genere, cultura della legalità, bullismo, violenza domestica, violenza assistita, omofobia e disuguaglianza sociale ed economica.

4- Partecipando al concorso, i partecipanti concedono il diritto di utilizzare il proprio lavoro e materiale a fini di stampa, media o promozione.

5- Sono ammesse opere provenienti da tutto il mondo. Al momento dell’iscrizione le opere straniere dovranno essere sottotitolate in italiano.

6- Al momento dell’iscrizione gli autori dovranno essere maggiorenni. L'iscrizione equivale alla dichiarazione di essere titolari tutti i diritti di utilizzazione economica e visione della propria opera, originale e non lesiva di diritti di terze parti. Il festival non si assume responsabilità al riguardo.

7- Ciascun autore può iscrivere massimo due opere.

8- Le iscrizioni avranno inizio il 1 dicembre 2025 e termineranno il 4 gennaio 2026.

9- I cortometraggi inviati potranno essere caricati sulla piattaforma Heddy Tv e parteciperanno al premio a essa dedicato.

L'invio delle opere indica l'accettazione delle regole.

2- Participating works may not be publicly available on the web or on other platforms and must have been produced from 2022 onward.

3- The maximum duration, including titles, is 15 minutes.

4- The works must address themes such as gender-based violence, a culture of legality, bullying, domestic violence, witnessed violence, homophobia, and social and economic inequality.

5- By participating in the competition, participants grant the right to use their work and material for press, media, or promotional purposes.

6- Works from all over the world are accepted. At the time of submission, foreign works must be subtitled in Italian.

7- At the time of submission, authors must be of legal age. Submitting a work is equivalent to declaring that they hold all economic and viewing rights to their work, that it is original, and that it does not infringe on third-party rights. The festival assumes no responsibility in this regard.

8- Each author may submit a maximum of two works.

9- Submissions will open on December 1, 2025, and close on January 4th, 2026.

10- Submitted short films may be uploaded to the Heddy TV platform and will be eligible for the dedicated prize.

Submission of shorts indicates acceptance of the rules.

    Based on the submission process and communication alone, Grifo Festival made a very positive impression. Even without attending in person, the festival felt thoughtfully run and genuinely invested in the filmmakers submitting their work. Communication was clear, professional, and considerate, which helped the entire process feel smooth and respectful. From afar, Grifo Festival comes across as a festival that values strong storytelling and the creative voices behind the films, and it is certainly one I would be happy to submit work to again in the future.
