1. Eligibility:
The competition is open to short films from Greece.
Films must be short films, defined as having a maximum duration of 20 minutes.
Documentary and experimental films are not eligible for submission.
Only films completed after 2022 are eligible for submission.
2. Submission Process:
All entries must be submitted by 30 June 2026.
Films must be submitted in MP4 or MOV format. We also accept Vimeo links
3. Language:
All languages are accepted as long as the film is a Greek production.
English subtitles must be provided.
4. Awards:
The festival will present the following awards:
Best Short Film - EKKOMED Award
Best Directing Award
Best Script Award
5. Judging Criteria:
Entries will be judged based on originality, storytelling, cinematography, and overall impact.
A panel of qualified judges from Greece and Turkey will evaluate the films.
6. Screening:
Selected films will be screened during the festival dates.
Filmmakers will be notified of their selection by 1 October 2026.
For the selected films:
Screening format can be either DCP or mp4/mov file.
A separate SRT file with the English subtitles must be provided.
7. Rights and Permissions:
By submitting a film, the filmmaker confirms that they have the rights to all content contained within.
8. Liability:
Participants agree to abide by the rules and decisions of the judges and festival organizers, which are final.
