Our mission at the Gorge Impact Film Festival is to explore the question of how humanity moves forward with joy, hope, and optimism on a changed planet. We are seeking films that address this theme through stories about community building, food systems, art and architecture, indigenous voices, the environment, outdoor recreation, young voices, humor and more.

Through thought-provoking films, discussions, and creative engagement, we seek to inspire diverse communities. We embrace underrepresented voices and promote local and regional artists. And by fostering arts-based tourism, we contribute to cultural enrichment and economic growth in the Columbia Gorge area.

Rules & Terms

By submitting your film and/or photographs to the Gorge Impact Film Festival (GIFF), you agree that you have Rights to all media content in the submission, including but not limited to all video, audio, and photographs. You further agree that your submission does not infringe on the Copyright of any 3rd party.

By submitting your film(s) and/or photographs, you agree to allow GIFF to showcase your film(s) and/or photo(s) at our in-person festival and/or our virtual online festival. This option can be rescinded at the discretion of the filmmaker if submitted in email/writing to GIFF when and if the film is accepted.

By submitting your film(s), you agree to allow GIFF to feature your film(s) as part of our GIFF Film Tour for a period of 1 year from the date of the main festival. This option can be rescinded at the discretion of the filmmaker if submitted in email/writing to GIFF when and if the film is accepted.

Films may be shown at multiple screenings, and photos may be exhibited at multiple showcases.

Except for Festival pass(es), the filmmaker will receive no monetary compensation for the exhibition of the Film during the Festival or additional screenings.

Photos, trailers, video clips, screen grabs, or filmmaker-submitted images may be used in promotional material and social media.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GIFF and its agents from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and costs that such parties may incur as a result of any violation of these Terms.
