Welcome to the inaugural 'Short Film Pitch Competition' run by GoodBadMad, Double J Productions & sponsored by PickleJar.

This is a chance to pitch your short film idea to get it fully funded and produced! We have a substantial fund to get your idea made and into the festival circuit! It will be produced by Double J Productions (www.doublejproductionsltd.com) who have a proven track record of festival qualifying and winning work.

The idea behind this competition is to encourage the 'business' skills needed for a career in filmmaking - to practise your pitching skills to financiers and other production companies! Initially, we want to see your written pitch documents and your script. If you get through to the final round, we'll expect to have an in-person or zoom pitch session to discover more about you, your team and your project.

PickleJar are sponsoring the competition with an incredible fund the winning project: “PickleJar is committed to independent filmmakers around the world because they represent one of the truest forms of creative freedom, where thought-provoking themes and socio-political messages can be explored with the evocative passion and imaginative expression."

The aims of this competition include:
-To encourage the development of independent filmmakers and producers.
-To encourage development of 'business skills' in live presenting often neglected at film schools.
-To encourage the community to collaborate and engage with one another.
-Create a wonderful piece of narrative content which will develop beyond the competition.

Part of GoodBadMad's mission is to highlight and create opportunities for development in the creative industries. This competition would require the entrant to develop their pitching skills in both written and verbal form, in order to receive the financing provided by the competition sponsor.
