The Golden Gate Short Awards is now a monthly and annual online independent short film competition with 27 categories. We are based in the beautiful artist city of San Francisco, California. Our locations lets us interacts with many up and coming filmmakers and lets us see first hand amazing short films being shot. Our goal is to highlight and recognize emerging talent in the industry. We believe every story deserves to be told and we want to provide that opportunity. Each month, our jury made up of artists, filmmakers, videographers selects the winners through private screenings. Monthly winners will be featured on our official website (with their consent) and be qualified to participate in our live festival in the fall (note festival may not be in-person this year).
Monthly winners have the opportunity (with their consent) to be featured on our official website and be qualified to participate and even have their film shown in our live festival in November. Winners & Official Selections will also receive our Golden Gate Short Awards Laurels. On top of this all winners will also have the opportunity to purchase a customized trophy for the category they won to remember their achievement.
