We Are Ready For Our Close Up!... Just Not Too Close!

Goddard Riverside presents the Gold Standard Film Festival as part of the Gold Standard Arts Festival, a week long event that celebrates and showcases artists who are a minimum of fifty years of age as art is ageless.

The cornerstone of the week, will be the film festival.

Films from around the world will be screened on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for a live audience. While the writer and director must be in this age bracket, their film stories have no demographic limits.

Awards & Prizes

Selected filmmakers will get to enjoy parties, networking opportunities with industry executives and expert panels

Rules & Terms

The writer and/or director of the film must be fifty years old or older
Films must have been completed within the past two years
Non English language films need to have English subtitles
Films must not be available for public viewing online
Films must have been produced in the last two years

Filmmakers are encouraged to submit a digital and/or online version of their films in a mp4 or .mov format. If these file formats do not exist, please submit a downloadable link to your film on a site such as Vimeo, YouTube, Dailymotion, or MetaCafe. Include all passwords for video access. DVD copies will NOT be accepted.

The festival has the right to use promotional material.
The filmmaker has secured all the rights.

Entry fees are non refundable.

    From concept to planning to communications to execution, this is by far the best film festival that I have had the pleasure to be a part of. Caytha and Eileen have clearly done an amazing amount of work in organizing this remarkable festival. It was reflected in the quality of the films and other programs (workshops, panel discussions etc) in the excellent communications before and during and after the festival and the hospitality. A great mission well accomplished in its first year and continued best wishes for the future.
