What an honour to be featured in this inaugural festival! It was a unique experience as the event was divided into three dates and incorporated screenings at community halls to ensure the widest possible participation. My film was shown outdoors on a screen with a steam train as a backdrop and music from the local municipal band! Communication and organisation was a credit to the organisers - thanks guys!

  • For independent filmmakers, GIFF is the perfect event. I am truly honoured that my short, The Screenwriter, was selected, screened (live event) and given "Best International Short Film Award". Thank you so much.
The festival was at its first run and the start couldn't have been better. Alana and Ed are the curators of the event and you can feel their passion for cinema.
Despite not being able to attend in person, I was impressed by the way they organized the event, their punctual communication, their social media page and their enthusiasm.
All the best for future editions. I hope to be back!

  • Great team, great times. Professional presentation, yet accessible and fun. It already had great turnout for short films but with the size of the auditorium the fest has the room to grow so it's looking bright for the future editions.
