Gingko Youth Film Festival (GYFF), hosted by the Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University, is dedicated to building a platform for film exchanges among primary and secondary schools worldwide. It promotes film and media education, encourages more students to experience beauty in the cinematic world, and empowers the new generation to document their emotions and express their perspectives through the camera lens.

GYFF is featured under the "Youth Filmmakers Growth Program", a collaborative project between the Beijing International Film Festival · College Student Film Festival and the Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University. This program was officially launched at the opening ceremony of the 32nd College Student Film Festival as one of its special segments.

The 2nd Gingko Youth Film Festival will host its awards ceremony in April 2027, where outstanding films will be:
- Screened at the 34th College Student Film Festival,
- Showcased in schools across China (primary, secondary, and higher education), and
- Accompanied by their directors and creative teams for post-screening discussions, filmmaking workshops, promotional activities, and more.

BEST INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM - Gingko Award
The Best International Short Film Gingko Award honors the best work in the International Short Film Competition, with 3000 RMB cash prize.

BEST NARRATIVE SHORT FILM - Gingko Award
The Best International Short Film Gingko Award honors the best work in the Narrative Short Film Competition, with 3000 RMB cash prize.

BEST DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILM - Gingko Award
The Best Documentary Short Film Gingko Award honors the best work in the Documentary Short Film Competition, with 3000 RMB cash prize.

BEST AIGC SHORT FILM - Gingko Award
The Best AIGC Short Film Gingko Award honors the best work in the AIGC Short Film Competition, with 3000 RMB cash prize.

BEST ANIMATED SHORT FILM - Gingko Award
The Best Animated Short film Gingko Award honors the best work in the Animated Short Film Competition, with 3000 RMB cash prize.

EMERGING TALENTS INNOVATIVE SHORT FILM AWARD
The Emerging Talents Innovative Short Film Awards honor three works in the Emerging Talents Competition, with 1000 RMB cash prize each.

MORNING DEW INNOVATIVE SHORT FILM AWARD
The Morning Dew Innovative Short Film Awards honor three works in the Morning Dew Competition.

The five Gingko Award winners will compete for the Best Short Film of the Year - The Golden Gingko Award.
The Golden Gingko Award winner will receive a 5,000 RMB cash prize(upgraded from the previous 3,000 RMB).

ELIGIBILITY
1) Age Requirement:
Directors (including all co-directors) must be under 19 years of age by the submission deadline of this year's film festival (Jan 1, 2027);
The "Morning Dew" section requires that directors (including all co-directors) were in primary or junior high school during the film's production;
There is no age restriction for other team members.

2) Nationality Requirement:
If all directors (including all co-directors) hold Chinese nationality (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan regions), please submit the film to the corresponding category based on the specific circumstances of the work.
If any of the directors (including co-directors) is not a Chinese national, the work must be submitted to the International Short Film Competition.

3) Completion Date: After Jan 1, 2025.

4) Copyright Notice:
Adapted works are required to clearly attribute their original sources and shall ensure that no copyright disputes arise. Any work that infringes upon copyright will be automatically disqualified from the competition.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1) Content Policy:
Works must not contain pornography, violence, vulgarity, or any content that violates laws or regulations, and shall conform to values appropriate for youth audiences.

All international entries must have embedded English subtitles. Works in languages other than English are required to provide an additional separate English subtitle file.

"Morning Dew" Section:
Works submitted to this section are encouraged to document reflections on life from an authentic perspective and to restore sincere emotional states.

2) Technical Specifications
Format: MP4 or MOV.
Resolution: ≥1920×1080 (Full HD).
Audio: Stereo, balanced volume without distortion.

3) AIGC Short Film Additional Materials
