Skiptown Playhouse International Film Festival has been running for 7 years. Through our success we have decided to branch into several mini festivals leading up to our flagship festival. Each one focusing on one particular Genre.

With low cost entry we aim to create more access for filmmakers to submit their works as we know festival submissions can be rather costly.

Giggleshitz is a fun festival with a focus on comedy, whether it be sketch, improv, musical, mockumentary, stand-up or experimental we are here for you to make us laugh. give us your best.

Winning films will be highlighted and screened at the Skiptown Playhouse International Film Festival in November.

Rules & Terms

Cannot have previously screened at Skiptown Playhouse International Film Festival.
Must be produced within 3 years of current festival year to be eligible for Awards.
May be older than 3 years to be accepted to the festival.

    Although I didn't get to attend the festival, I didn't feel any less involved. Organizers were super friendly, communicative and very encouraging every step of the way. It's always great to encounter a festival that supports and amplifies what can be considered unconventional films that they truly believe in and want to see succeed. Thanks for having us!

    This was the first festival to select one of our short films for 2026. Only growth of this festival from here. Vicenzo, the host and producer, is very inviting of his venues. Highly recommend both venues for private premieres.

    Although I couldn't attend, the festival organizers did a great job communicating with the film makers and it seems that the festival was a successful event all round. I was also pretty hyped to win the award for Best Micro Short - thanks again!
