The Gideon Film Festival has a very unique venue using properties that was once owned by legendary singer Johnny Cash -- the Hideaway Farm, where Johnny lived, and the Storytellers, a tiny stage where Johnny and fellow musicians performed for the community.
Film screenings, industry panels, meals, workshops and networking moments will be scheduled between the properties. Because Storytellers is not located on the Hideaway Farm acreage (less than a mile down the road) it will require driving; so, be prepared to hop in the back of someone's truck because this is how divine connections happen on the farm!

PURPOSE: To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through all types of media with an emphasis on television and film.
BIBLICAL INSPIRATION: Just as God did mighty things through Gideon’s small but mighty army, He can do likewise through focused, God-honoring filmmakers. (Judges 6)
WHY WE EXIST: The Gideon was created to give Christians who are interested in the media arts a place to be spiritually inspired, energized and motivated.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND? To network with successful industry trailblazers and glean from their experience and advice, gain exposure for you and your projects, support each other in prayer and encouragement, and most importantly, develop working and personal relationships that extend long after the Gideon is over. Our underlying drive is to build community. To build an army.
A UNIQUE AWARD SYSTEM
Most film festivals offer awards and trophies at the closing of their event; but the Gideon Film Festival is structured differently, where the award is in having your film selected for the G24 lineup. Gideon has a limited number of blocks for film screenings so if you are chosen, congratulations! That means our judges have recognized the masterful teamwork involved in the production of your film and the excellence to which it was executed.
FILM SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Thank you for your interest in submitting your film to the Gideon Film Festival – we are excited and honored that you are sharing your heart and talents with us! Even though Gideon was only resurrected last year (from our first run, 2008-2014), this year we have brought back our film submissions process for feature films, documentaries, animation and short films. The films we select must strive for excellence. They must also be God-honoring. This does not necessarily mean they must be transcribed stories from the Bible; they can be, but we are looking for films that break free from traditional Christian film formats and instead share the spiritual message creatively.
