Divinely ambushed into making her first film—one that has already earned five awards—Georgina Elizabeth Okon is a British-born Nigerian actor, voiceover artist, storyteller, and filmmaker based in Los Angeles.
She has lent her voice to numerous feature films, including The Woman King, Black Panther, Bandida 2 (Outlaw), Simply Black, School Life, and Street Flow 2, as well as television series such as Pride & Prejudice: Atlanta, Scorpion, Oh Hell, Tarragon, The Break, Unit 42, and Mortel.
Georgina was cast as the lead in the film-noir crime fiction podcast Hell California. Her narration of The Invenios Expedition—a spin-off of the acclaimed series The Leviathan Chronicles—earned such strong praise from producers that her role is now being expanded. The project premiered as a livestream earlier this year, was nominated for Best Scripted Fiction Podcast at the 2025 Signal Awards, and is currently in the running for the Listener’s Choice Award.
Her performance as "Axado" in "The Invenios Expeditions" earned her a 2026 Ambie Award nomination for Best Performance in Audio Fiction.
Her on-camera work includes roles in Bob Hearts Abishola (CBS), Shrill (Hulu), The Family Meeting (HBO short), The Really Loud House (Nickelodeon), and the award-winning short film Fugitive Zero, for which she received seven Best Supporting Actress awards and ten nominations. She has also voiced characters in the video game Eolia and narrated the audiobooks One Year in Uvalde and A Love Like This.
On stage, she appeared in Nothing, Nothing, a reimagining of Much Ado About Nothing written by Anima Henry and directed by Elisa Bocanegra of Hero Theatre. The production earned three nominations and won the LA Theatre Bites 2023 Award for Best Original Los Angeles Show.
Georgina recently starred in the lead role of the feature film Not Every Woman, which is now available to rent or buy on Apple TV and Amazon Video.

As a first-time filmmaker, Georgina co-wrote, co-edited, produced, directed, and starred in Etched, created for the Reimagine iPhone Film Fest ’25, where it won one of three Showcase Prizes. Etched went on to win Best Mini-Film, Best Writing, and Best Actor Awards at the Christian Online Film Festival and was most recently honored with Best Experimental Short award at the Last Evangelist Film & Music Festival.
Etched has just made the Official Selection for Harvard Divinity School Film Festival and Christian Film Festival.
She also appeared in a staged reading of The Park, written by New York playwright Eric Conger and directed by three-time Emmy Award winner Cady McClain, at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre in Los Angeles.
