Crete is the largest of the Greek Islands, known not only as the birth place of Zeus, but also for ”Where Theater Was Born.” Tourism is Crete’s number one draw, and it delivers with its beautiful, mountainous terrain and breathtaking beaches, packed with ancient ruins and buzzing cities. And then there’s the food!
And now it will also serve as host for The Crete International Film Festival! In November 2021 the GO Independent series of film festivals, as part of the FAME Family, will have a home in the most populated Greek Isle! Our goal is to give more opportunities for independent filmmakers and screenwriters to showcase and promote their art.
Audiences and Artists can relish in the sun, sea and sand, and then, venture out to a land inhabited by humans for over 130,000 years! Before and after screening films, networking, and enjoying the festival atmosphere, GO on your own adventure in a city that built civilization and created art itself!
GO Independent Film! GO Crete!
