This is the pilot year for Fuselage Dance Film Festival, presented in partnership by Propadata Films and Yaw Theater. Submit your film for a chance to screen on August 11th at Yaw Theater in Seattle, Washington! Prizes for winning films TBA.
WHO: Open to filmmakers of all ages residing in Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, or British Columbia are the focus of this festival - UPDATE: We are now open to films outside of the PNW as well!
WHAT: Short films (15min & under) with a focus on dance. Applicable categories include music videos, experimental/art, comedic, narrative, documentary, or any other films that are centered around dance & movement.
WHEN/WHERE: August 11th At Yaw Theater - 6520 5th Ave S Seattle, WA 98108 (Located at Equinox Art Studios in South Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood).
WHY: Stella Kutz and Will Lemke have been friends since the late 90’s during their days at Franklin High. Stella is an accomplished dancer & choreographer, and built Yaw Theater as a studio and performance space focused on developing community and collaboration among artists. Will has been making films since his childhood, and opened Propadata Films in 2005 with a focus on exploring eye-opening stories. The two are excited to provide an event for local filmmakers and dancers to screen their works, and for Seattle theatergoers to support homegrown talent!

Open to filmmakers of all ages. Filmmakers residing in Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, or British Columbia will be given priority.
Submitters are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, and permits necessary to present their work. Fuselage Dance Film Festival is not responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, or royalty infringement related to the work.
Some prizes may only be available to filmmakers physically present at festival.
