Submissions are open for the fourth annual Full Bloom Film Festival!

The Full Bloom Film Festival is dedicated to bringing quality, diverse cinema to Statesville, a multifaceted art-conscious city in North Carolina, just north of Charlotte. FBFF aims to shed light on our local and global communities, whether a film examines the emotions of a seemingly mundane interaction, points to environmental injustice, or recalls a momentous event in history.

FBFF 2018 will take place this year from September 13th through September 15th in and around Historic Downtown Statesville.

The Festival is organized by a committed group of area business leaders, film enthusiasts and volunteers. The Festival is a collaborative effort supported by:
-Iredell County Arts Council
-City of Statesville
-Iredell-Statesville Schools
-Mitchell Community College
-Statesville Chamber of Commerce
-Statesville Recreation and Parks Department

Officially selected films will be eligible to receive awards by category, as well as the ranking award for Best of Fest. Prizes will be awarded by a panel of judges based on the film’s overall artistic, narrative, and technical quality.

Winning films in each category will be awarded $250 (Visa gift card or via PayPal).
The winning film for "Best of Fest" will receive $500 (Visa gift card or via PayPal).

Honestly, this was the best festival experience I've ever had. The hospitality was jaw-dropping. The energy of the staff was warm and inviting. And the screening venues were really fascinating/lively. As soon as we arrived, we were met by hugs, smiles, and affirming comments about our film. Not only had they seen it, they were articulate about why they loved it. This type of energy and attentiveness is a filmmaker's dream. I've never felt so appreciated and cared for. A week has past since the festival, and I remain incredibly grateful for the gift of this festival. Thank you Full Bloom! Side note: their programming was also top-notch and very internationally-minded.

Full Bloom was such a great festival to be a part of. We unfortunately couldn't attend, but the staff there made every attempt to take care of the selected films/filmmakers. The communication was great, and FB seems to be a community gem in the Statesville area. We were surprised and honored to have won "Best Documentary Feature" Award! Would highly recommend, and looking forward to attending future festivals there!

I was not able to attend in person this year but the Full Bloom team made me feel as if I had almost. They were very helpful and communicative leading up to the fest and even let us know about positive feedback that our film had received in our absence. Additionally, they looped us into the networking efforts that they had put together. Looking forward to hopefully attending in person next time.
