Freewheeling Film Awards is an international short film competition with an annual awards ceremony, rooting for independent films.
Our state of mind is to boost the way of filmmaking. Giving a voice to those who have a significant storytelling. We want to screen your hard work.
Quarterly (fall, winter, spring and summer), our jury elects the best of each category. The annual competition will start in the fall and end in the summer. Every winners will be automatically qualified for the final round. For our annual event, the best of the best will compete to get the Freewheeling Award of the year. The winners can get their trophy and will be listed on our website. The annual awards ceremony will take place in London, at The Castle Cinema.

2023-2024 Seasonal winners: fall, winter, spring and summer. Then the finals.

- Best actor in a short film (drama, comedy, romance, fantasy, sci-fi, action/adventure, fan film, horror, thriller) 9 seasonal winners each season (fall, winter, spring and summer)

In a short film:

All seasonal winners (fall, winter, spring and summer) will compete to be the best of the best each year for the annual ceremony.

By submitting your film, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
All non-English films must have English subtitles in order to be judged.
You (individual or corporation) agree that we can exhibit segments of your film online or screen to a physical audience in a programmed session (including trailer, film poster, press release, stills, teaser…) even after the festival for promotional purpose.
For award and nominees selections (and non-selections), judging decisions are final.
Excluding commercial and industrial work, we accept films produced at any time. The film must be completed by the time of submission. Submission fee is non-refundable. We reserve the right to make changes at any time for any reason and we’ll not be liable for any costs claimed as a result of a change in scheduling, distribution of trophies and laurels and we are free to modify them.
Submitters agree to not sue or threaten the Freewheeling Film Awards, its parent company, its directors, staff, volunteers, sponsors, affiliates, and/or partners, or to take legal action or inflict litigation of any kind by any means.
Understand that there are no fees due to you for screening a part or the entire film at the event or for any other matters arising from the submission of the film to the festival and accept that Freewheeling Film Awards is therefore under no obligation to pay you any sums.
You have signed release forms in relation to copyright and all other applicable rights have been legally cleared and granted.
You have read, understood, and unconditionally agree to all of the Freewheeling Film Awards’ submission guidelines and the complete terms and conditions of the Freewheeling Film Awards.

    This is a wonderful and growing community of filmmakers. We traveled to the venue from the US to London. The venue was intimate and approachable.

    At the festival we met with great people from all over the world. The staff were very nice and available.

    We enjoyed FreeWheeling film awards. I look forward to attending again in the future — and you should too!
