FSFH is a non-competitive short-film festival, based in New York City. Not only does it showcase the quality and diversity of francophone cinema via screenings throughout Manhattan, but it also facilitates cultural exchanges and professional connections between the filmmakers and the audiences.

FSFH selects short films exclusively from francophone countries and regions. The films tell stories where the French language has woven itself into local languages, and cinematic narratives are shaped by differing resources, locations, cultural contexts, and filming techniques.

Since 2016, FSFH has been a key Manhattan platform for francophone cinema, having presented 150 short films from 27 French-speaking countries. FSFH attracts 50–350 attendees per screening, including filmmakers, creative professionals, and members of NYC’s francophone and francophile communities. Screenings have been hosted at the Maysles Documentary Center, Maison Française at NYU and Columbia, and the Lycée Français Cultural Center. FSFH also has deep roots in Harlem, home to more than 7,000 French and Creole speakers.
