Let’s make screen dance feel alive again.
This year, FXF is returning to what has always been at the heart of Frame Dance: connection, conversation, and collaboration.
We’re reimagining how we gather around screen dance, not as a large, fast-moving festival, but as a more intimate, ongoing exchange.
Call for Screen Dance Filmmakers
We’re introducing a monthly online spotlight featuring three films, thoughtfully curated and shared with care. Each screening includes reflections from Lydia Hance and a live conversation with artists and audiences around the world.
Think of it as a global gathering — part gallery, part living room— where your work doesn’t just play, it resonates.
Why submit?
Because your work deserves more than a quick watch and a scroll.
This is a space where your film is truly seen, held with attention, curiosity, and care. Where audiences show up not just to watch, but to engage, reflect, and connect.
How to submit
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.
Send us:
• A link to your film (3–10 minutes)
• Two sentences about the essence of your work
• A brief note on why this piece matters to you
Selected films will receive:
• A curated platform where your work is the focus, experienced fully, not lost in a lineup
• Connection to a global community of dancers, choreographers, and filmmakers who care deeply about the work
• A thoughtful written reflection that helps audiences enter your piece more fully
• A live, facilitated conversation, an opportunity to share your process, spark dialogue, and build meaningful connections
• A simple, accessible submission process with a $5 entry fee
Selected filmmakers will also receive:
• Full credit and visibility across our website, Instagram, and newsletter
• Optional one-on-one feedback— honest, supportive, and artist-centered
• Invitations to future collaborations and creative exchanges within the Frame Dance community
