The Youth Cinema Forum "YMYT" is an international film event that has been bringing together young filmmakers from different countries since 2013 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

The Forum is a unique combination of a film festival, educational platform, and discussion space, where young filmmakers can showcase their work in competitions, participate in professional discussions and masterclasses, enhance their skills, and gain opportunities for promoting and implementing their projects.

The goal of the Forum is to support talented youth, create conditions for their creative and professional growth, and discover new names in the world of cinema.

The mission of the Forum is to inspire and support young filmmakers in creating cinema as an art form.

The Forum features two competitive programs: the National Short Fiction Film Competition and the International Short Fiction Film Competition.

At the conclusion of the competition, the jury members select the winners in the following categories: Best Film, Best Director, and the Jury Special Prize.

Youth Cinema Forum "YMYT" invites submissions of art short fiction films (with a running time of up to 30 minutes) for its competitive programs. Eligible films must have been produced in the current or previous year by emerging filmmakers aged up to 35, or by filmmakers over 35 who are presenting their debut film.
