A local Montreal annual film festival run by Television Mcgill (TVM) since 2006. The festival had since been limited to students at McGill but has now opened its doors to all within the Montreal film community!

Fokus will take place this year on March 21st, 2024 from 7pm-10:15pm.

The festival is comprised of a screening and an award ceremony held at Cinema du Parc followed by a party immediately after that will be held at Ye Olde Orchard.

The festival also includes a 72hr film race which can be applied for on our website, fokusfilmfestival.com. This will take place in early March.

Rules & Terms

Rules for Submission:

- Submitted Films must be made by Montreal-based filmmakers.

- Submitted films must be a maximum length of 20 minutes.

- Films must be submitted by March 12th at 6pm (Films submitted after this time will not be accepted for submission).

    Yesterday, I attended the Fokus Film Festival by TVM for the first time, and it was a wonderful experience. The movies were great, and the festival team was professional, organized and attentive. It was an honor to have my movie, “La ligne”, be awarded “Best performance”. Thank you for this special night!
