Building on the energy of its debut, the Florina International Film Festival (FIFF) in Florina, Greece - returns for its second year, continuing its celebration of short-form cinema and bold storytelling. Expanding on last year’s success, the festival once again brings together a dynamic selection of films from around the world, offering audiences a rich program that blends powerful documentaries with imaginative fiction.

FIFF remains committed to its mission of supporting emerging independent filmmakers, fostering creative exchange, and creating a welcoming space where artists and audiences can connect. As it grows, the festival strengthens its role as a cultural meeting point in Florina, a place where new voices are discovered, ideas are shared, and the art of cinema sparks meaningful dialogue.

Rules & Terms

✓ All films must be submitted with English subtitles (if in a different language).

✓ All films must have been made in or after 2025.

✓ Films must not exceed 30 minutes.

✓ Filmmakers are responsible for sorting out the copyright on their own materials.

✓ By submitting to us, you give us consent and right to screen your film in front of a live audience, and, under special circumstances, online screening.

✓ Official Selection: All the nominated films selected for screening will be notified via email and are a contender for an award in their category.

✓Award Winners: Chosen from the Nominations (which includes the Official Selection).

✓ We may promote clips from your film on social media, based on the press kits you provide us with.

✓ We retain the right to change the date and venue of the festival under special circumstances. All filmmakers will be informed about any changes through email and our online platforms.

✓ We place no restrictions on your work in terms of premiere status or whether your work has been made available online.

✓ We do not accept partial screeners, trailers, or screener links that require access other than password protected links.

✓ Any technical issues with the submitted films are 100% the responsibility of the filmmakers. If, at the time of judging, your video file doesn’t work or doesn’t have English subtitles (if in a language other than English), it will be automatically rejected, without a refund. Please contact the festival team ASAP if there are any issues with the submission process, and a solution will be found.

✓ We cannot provide refunds.

✓ If your film is accepted, you should provide us with a DCP copy of your film and an mp4 copy of your film. The resolution of the files should be Full HD or above.

✓ If your film is accepted, you should provide us with English and Greek subtitles of your film.

✓ By submitting to us you agree to our terms and conditions and to receiving marketing newsletters and discounts about film festivals in the form of emails. We will never sell your information to third parties.

✓ We reserve the right to update our terms and conditions.

    I wasn't able to go to the festival so I can't speak about the hospitality or the networking but the existence of such a festival in a town like Florina is of significant importance. The selection and the program were really of high level and I felt really overwhelmed when I learnt that my short film will take part in Florina IFF. The town itself, where I have been many times, with the river in the centre of the town and the old buildings with their old architecture, is a cinematic experience. So a film festival is what the town really needed. Hope the festival continues on and on
