FIFF is a hybrid film festival and feature-length screenplay contest that celebrates the power of cinema to inspire and entertain. We champion independent filmmakers and innovative stories. Set against the backdrop of Flagstaff's stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage, our film festival is a gathering for filmmakers and storytellers. We present a diverse and compelling program of films across different genres, reflecting the breadth and depth of cinematic storytelling from around the world.

We will recognize a few filmmakers for their cinematic achievements and whose work has captivated FIFF's festival jury. We will be offering ten (10) awards this year, and all winners receive a trophy, IMDb recognition, and a submission waiver to our partner film festivals: Los Angeles CineFest, Queer Here Cinema, Worldwide Women's Film Festival, Show Low Film Festival, Prescott Film Festival, and Sedona International Film Festival—

Best Short * Best Comedy * Best Animation * Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy * Best Horror * Best Documentary * Best Foreign Language Film * Arizona Filmmaker Award * Visionary Artist Award * Best Screenplay

We loved playing at the Flagstaff International Film Festival. The atmosphere was incredible, the audiences were enthusiastic, and we can't say enough about the team that made it all happen—wonderful communication and follow-through from our hosts.

The FIFF vibes were immaculate. The location is A+, being located in historic Downtown Flagstaff, there was never a shortage of things to do, places to eat, or spots to network at. The screening venue was super rad and exuded the art/indie vibe. The fest went out of their way to organize numerous discounts for food and spots to network with other fellow filmmakers. If you are wanting a very art focused festival with plenty of networking, look no further!

Thank you so much Flagstaff for such an incredible experience! This was the World Premiere of our film "I'm Dead, You're Welcome" and we had a blast!

From start to finish the festival was flawless and such and an easeful approach to networking as well. We met a ton of incredible filmmakers and other Festival Directors while hanging out at Dark Sky Brewery at the networking events. The best part is they didn't seem like networking events, they were fun and casual.

The quality of films were all top notch! The theater was such an amazing and classic venue as well. The FIFF Team was very professional and so helpful as well!

On top of all that....we won Best Comedy too!

We loved every minute of the festival and will definitely be back next year!

Huge thanks to FIFF, their staff is incredibly hardworking and passionate. They're committed to finding good stuff from every corner, and elevate the voices of indie creators like me. Thanks again for awarding my film Xtremesylvania with Best Animated Short.
