Kansas Thespian Filmworks is a film event and festival for high school students (Grades 9-12) in Kansas. Participating students must attend a school with an active ITS Troupe. Students will have one week to write, produce, and edit a short film. The film must include a set of specific criteria (selection of genre from a list, a line of dialogue, and a specific costume item or prop).
The contest will open at 7:30 am on Friday, November 1 and will close at 11:59 pm on Sunday, November 10.
The live screening event and awards ceremony will be at the Kansas Thespian Festival in Wichita Kansas in January 2019.
Registration must be received no later than Friday October 5th and payment must be received by Friday October 26th..

Awards will be available in the following categories:
1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
The creative team(s) who produced the winning film(s) will also receive the following:
-A Public Screening of their film at the Kansas Thespian Festival
-A Superior Rating for the Film IE at the Kansas Thespian Festival
-A Chance to Participate in the Filmworks program at the International Thespian Festival
