The Filmfest St. Anton is a multi-day alpinism and outdoor film festival with a European orientation that has been in existence since 1995 and aims to provide a public platform for independently produced auteur films in the field of mountain and adventure sports. The film festival sees itself as an annual late summer scene meeting under the guiding principle MOUNTAINS - PEOPLE - ADVENTURES, in the context of which athletes, filmmakers and the public can share and exchange experiences in a relaxed atmosphere.

Rules & Terms

The short film should not exceed a preferred length of 10 to 30 minutes (including opening/closing credits) and should not be older than two years.

Premieres or Austrian premieres will be given preference.

There is no submission fee.

Films whose filmmakers and athletes are willing to come to St. Anton am Arlberg for the film presentation and subsequent stage talk will be given preference.

Filmmakers can submit more than one film.

If the film you submit is selected for the Filmfest St. Anton, you will receive a notification from us with an invitation for the film (beginning of April 2023 at the latest).

The selected films will be shown in original version with German subtitles.

We will not give reasons for the selection decision - we ask for your understanding.

For organizational reasons, we will not send out a notification for submitted films that are not included in the program.
