A Night of Magic — The Kaleidoscope African Experience

Film In The Park (FLIP) returns for its third edition with an immersive celebration of African storytelling, culture, and community.

Under the stars, audiences will journey through a carefully curated selection of African films while surrounded by an atmosphere infused with the colors, textures, sounds, and traditions. From cultural fabrics to raffia installations, lantern-lit spaces, traditional artefacts, music, fashion, food, and artistic expression, every element of the experience is designed to celebrate the many cultures that make Nigeria extraordinary.

FLIP 3.0 invites filmmakers and audiences alike to be part of an unforgettable evening where film meets culture, tradition meets contemporary creativity, and community comes together in a magical celebration of excellence.

1. Before submitting your film, please carefully review the following guidelines to ensure eligibility and compliance:

2. Please include a brief biographical statement, affiliation, and contact information.

3. Films should be maximum of 15 minutes or under. Films longer than 15 minutes will not be considered.

4. Films of all languages are welcome, however films must have English subtitles if the spoken language is a language other than English.

5. Films must be primarily produced by African filmmakers or filmmakers of African descent.

6. Submissions should address themes pertinent to the realities of Nigerian youth as articulated in our festival theme.

7. Submitted films must adhere to specified technical requirements, including video format, resolution, and aspect ratio.

8. Filmmakers must include a synopsis, director's statement, and any additional supporting materials (e.g., trailers, production stills) to complement their submission.

9. By submitting the film, you acknowledge that you have the full right and authority to submit the film and you grant Film In The Park (FLIP) to screen and exhibit the film.

10. By submitting the film, you acknowledge that you are the sole author and owner of the film, or if you are not the sole author, you have secured all necessary and appropriate rights, written permissions, and releases in connection with submitting the film.
