Film Africa is the Royal African Society’s annual London festival, celebrating the best African and African diaspora cinema from across the continent. Now in its eighth year, the festival has become a key platform for African film in London and the UK.
From Friday 2 - 11 November 2018, we'll be bringing another exciting film programme of films to six venues across London. This will be accompanied by a vibrant series of events, including director Q&As, talks and discussions; professional workshops and master classes; school screenings and family activities; parties; and our highly popular Film Africa LIVE! music nights.
In 2017, Film Africa presented a wide-ranging programme of 40 films from across 27 African countries, including 22 World, European or UK premieres. We also hosted 12 filmmakers and talent from the continent and the diaspora and a further 16 industry experts and guest contributors who helped to bring the programme to life through Q&As, talks and panel discussions.
