All submissions will be accepted for consideration as an "official selection" at Fiesta SATX Short Film Festival through Film Freeway.
Only genres where there are minimum of three submissions will open for competition.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All entries must include the following and be submitted through the Film Freeway link provided.
Indie Production
Potential to be a series
Shorts must be between 5 - 40 minutes
Feature Films must be over 41 minute plus
Animations can be 2+ minutes
a 15-30 second promotional trailer must be included
Original Soundtrack
High quality video in HD or 4k
27 x 40 inch promo poster 350 dpi jpeg must be submitted
Additional 30-50 minute script ready a plus
Non English language films must be subtitled in English
No pornographic content as defined by the US Supreme Court
Festival judges will evaluate and score all submissions.

LEGAL
By submitting filmmaker certifies that they have read and agree to abide by the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Pilot Representative Agreement, and full rights to enter and make all decisions pertaining to the pilot submission.
ENTERING FILM INTO MULTIPLE GENRES
Films can be entered into multiple Genre's. A separate fee will apply for each genre is entered. A new form must be submitted for each genre entered and a full package as described below must be submitted. The entry can only win in one category.
TIMELINES
All submissions must be entered within the time frames specified.
GENRE COMPETITION
Only genres where there are minimum of three submissions will open for competition in the respective genre. In the event there are less than three, the submission will be judged under the "Other" category.
JUDGES
Judges may not contact the competitors for any reason. If a judge contacts you, you must report it to the festival officials immediately.
FINALISTS SCREENINGS
Up to 75 Short Films and 75 Feature Film entries will be invited to become part of the "official selection" group. The "official selections" will be formerly announced the second night of the festival.
ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL
A representative from films who are Official Selections are encouraged to attend. Attending will be at their own expense.
WINNING ENTRIES
The objective of the festival is to discover projects that may be adaptable to a streaming or television series. We intend to work with the winning entries to create and /or find on-line and television distribution for a series. In the event the film is picked up for a serial production, the filmmaker must be open to allowing recasting and shooting a series in Texas.
ROUND 1: Call for Entries
Indie entries will be accepted beginning September 02 and will be scored on a scale from 1-10 in various categories.
Up to 150 entries which meet set criteria receiving the highest scores will be announced at the awards banquet at the festival on April 27, the last night of the festival. Those selected will move on to round two, the Shorts Art of Film Gallery exhibit as the "official selections" of Fiesta SATX Short Film Festival.
ROUND 2: Shorts Art of Film Online Gallery Exhibit
This phase is dedicated to getting the artists names known by the public and a full year of raising money for each official selection so they can continue to create jobs in entertainment. In this round, the official selections will run on our video art gallery online from April 2025 to February 2026.
Visitors will have an opportunity to view the exhibits and purchase merchandise such as t-shirts, mugs... associated with each film for the entire exhibit year.
We are working on an app so visitors will have an opportunity to download so they cano provide feedback on each film they watch and order merchandize associated with each short film.
Our goal is to take this gallery to a brick and mortar venue in San Antonio, TX to create a destination for the nearly 35 million visitors each year.
ROUND 3: Judging
Official Judges will have an opportunity to score each of the official selections on a scale from 1-10 in the following categories. The top scores will be our award winners.

THE PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD
The top merchandize grossing entry at our Shorts, Art of Film Gallery will win the peoples choice award and qualify for the "Golden" film jobs grant. This film jobs grant will be a percentage of the profits of all merchandise sales from all the "official selections".
The Peoples Choice Award winner must agree to shoot the series in Texas and cast at least 25% of their leads with Americans of Latino descent. If the winner declines, then the award will go to the second place winner. If the second place winner cannot do so, the award will go to the third place winner...and so on.
We will help the recipient who accepts the Golden film jobs grant, organize their production.
