Organized every spring in the oldest of France’s seaside resorts, the festival is the only event in Europe dedicated to the cinema of all the provinces of this friendly country. It showcases the richness and diversity of the Canadian film industry.

Renowned for its eclecticism, generosity, and accessibility—qualities that reflect the spirit of the city that hosts it—the Dieppe Canadian Film Festival is a truly warm, original, and festive event. Highly appreciated by both audiences and professionals, it has, in just a few years, become an unmissable gathering for lovers of the seventh art and all players in the Canadian film industry.

The event also helps to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Dieppe and Canada.

No entry fee is required.

The 13th edition of the Dieppe Canadian Film Festival will take place from Thursday, March 26 to Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the Megarama Cinema in Dieppe.

Feature Films :
The selection focuses on Canadian productions in English, French, or other so-called “indigenous” languages, produced after January 1, 2025.

Submitted films may already have been presented at other festivals. We do not require European or French premiere exclusivity, although it is highly appreciated.

Eligibility criteria:
A film directed by a Canadian filmmaker or produced in Canada.
Non-French-language films must be subtitled in French.
All genres and formats are accepted in the official competition (fiction, animation, etc.). Documentaries and experimental films are presented in non-competitive sections.
Feature films must have a runtime of over 60 minutes.
Competition films are screened twice. Please note that selected films are not necessarily entered in competitions: they may be screened out of competition or as part of a special screening, in which case they are shown only once.

The festival reserves the right, after receiving a film and its selection by the programming committee, to assign it to the section of its choice (competition, out of competition, or special screening), unless the rights holders expressly object in writing.

Commercial or institutional films are not accepted.

Submissions are made exclusively through the platform indicated in the call for entries announcement.

Screening links must remain valid at least until February 1.

Each film must be made available for a minimum of 3 viewings so that each member of the selection committee can watch it.

The film submission will be validated after verification that all required information has been provided.
